Q. What is your style? A. My style is a mix between photojournalism and traditional photography. I believe in capturing as many details as possible including the location, details, vivid colors, emotions, surprise, fun, beauty and uniqueness of your wedding day. I don’t simply record who was there and what happened, but how people felt that day, and how beautiful the whole experience was. Your photos will include both posed family portraits and exceptional scenes from your wedding day.
Q. Do you want me to provide you with a list of "must have" photographs? A. As a photojournalistic wedding photographer, my approach is to capture many of the spontaneous moments of your wedding day. I usually sit with you about 2 weeks prior to your wedding day and learn about your special needs. However, if you would like to provide a “must have” list, I will make every effort to comply with your requests.
Q. What about formal wedding party portraits? A. I work to get the portraits done as quickly and painlessly as possible. I recommend assigning a designated person who is not part of the wedding party to gather people for the formal shots.
Q. What type of equipment do you use? A. I use the latest Canon EOS professional digital camera equipment. Being a photojournalistic style photographer, I need a fast and reliable camera. Using the L series lenses by Canon allows me to capture both candid shots and posed shots that require long lenses as well as wide angle lenses.
Q. Who will photograph my wedding? Do you bring an assistant? A. I photograph each wedding myself. A second photographer or assistant can be added to your package. When I come with an assistant, we work as a team to provide you with the best photos of your event.
Q. How far in advance are you booked? A. Your photographer should be among the first things you book for your wedding day. As soon as you choose a location and set a date, you should select a photographer as well. Some dates tend to fill up quickly like summer and fall weekends, so you will want to book your photographer as soon as possible. Please contact us to check for availability.
Q. How many pictures do you take? A. Because I work with a digital camera, the number of photos I take is almost unlimited. I usually take 600 to 900 photos capturing candid shots, posed shots and many unique details. I personally edit each photo in my studio, providing you with the best final results. I like to offer my clients a large number of photos from which they can choose the best photos to tell their wedding story.
Q. Where are you located? A. While I am a Sunnyvale-based wedding photographer, I photograph weddings all over the Bay Area, including San Francisco, San Jose, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Campbell, Los Gatos, Fremont, Berkeley and Santa Cruz. I also travel outside of California for exclusive weddings.
Q. What is the payment schedule? What are my payment options? A. 50% of your total booking is required at the time of contract signing. This retainer secures your date. The remaining balance is due on your wedding day.
We accept cash, checks, credit cards , PayPal and
payments. applicable California sales tax will be applied.
Q. How soon after the wedding can we see our wedding images? A. My turn around times are as follows:
Q. What is a “web quality” CD? How do I choose my prints? A. “Web quality” CD is a CD with all the photos taken at your event. It allows you to view all your photos on a computer and choose your prints. It is yours to keep. The photos are in low resolution and should not be used for printing.
Q. What is a High quality DVD/CD? A. High quality DVD/CD is a DVD (or CD) with all the photos taken at your event. This DVD/CD contains all the high resolution files that we use to print the photos from. Simply it is all the “negatives” of the photos. You can take it to any print shop and print as many prints as you want.
Q. What is the referral program? A. My business is based on referrals, and as a way of thanking you for bringing us business from your friends and family, we offer a gift certificate for dinner at P.F. Chang's China Bistro restaurants. That means that if you recommend us to 3 friends who are getting married and they all book with us, we will give you gift certificates for 3 dinners!
Q. Do you offer special discounts for last minute bookings? A. Yes! If your wedding is within 1 month of the booking date, we offer a 10% discount if your date is available. This is a great deal if you need a photographer at the last minute and would like high quality photographic coverage.
Q. Do you offer Videography services? A. We are working hand in hand with Newman Media Services. We will offer you one package that will best serve your needs. Please visit Newman Media Services website for more information about their work.
